Finished my current readthrough!

I didn’t plan to finish this round of novel editing tonight but once I got started, I was pulled in. Chapters 16, 17, the looong 18, and the Epilogue, done! Feeling really optimistic about the novel right now, like I can fix it and have it be what I want.

I think it’s been years since I wrote this line and I’ve loved it enough to wish it made sense as a name for the whole novel (it doesn’t). It may be my single favorite line in all 610 pages:

The bathroom light is a lie.
